Supported Platforms for Teachers and Students
- Teachers:
ClassSwift is compatible with Windows and macOS systems. Teachers can easily download and install the ClassSwift application on their Windows and macOS computers to initiate and manage classes effectively.
Windows- Operating System (OS): Windows 10 (64-bit) or later
- Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™ i5-10500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (or equivalent)
- Graphics (GPU): Intel UHD Graphics 630 or AMD Radeon Vega 3 (or higher)
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB RAM recommended
- Storage: At least 10 GB of available space on an SSD
macOS
- Operating System (OS): macOS 15.0.1, arm64
- Processor (CPU): MacBook Pro (13-inch, M2, 2022)
- Memory (RAM): 8 GB
- Graphics (GPU): Apple-designed integrated GPU (M2 chip)
- Storage: 256 GB SSD
The specifications listed above represent the minimum recommended requirements for running ClassSwift. Actual performance may vary depending on factors such as the number of applications running simultaneously, the speed and stability of your internet connection, and the overall age or condition of your device. For the best experience, we recommend using a device with higher specifications whenever possible. - Students:
Students can access ClassSwift through a QR code or web link and join a class on any Windows, iOS, ChromeOS, or Android device through a web browser.
Internet and Network Setup
For optimal application performance, a minimum network speed of 100 Mbps is required. Below this threshold, users may encounter latency issues.
If you encounter internet issues with ClassSwift, follow these steps:
- Download the Internet Connection Test document and follow the guidelines provided. If any tests fail, proceed to step 2.
- Download the ClassSwift Network Whitepaper and follow the guidelines. You may share this whitepaper with your IT team for resolution. Configure your network to include the AWS-specific IP ranges as outlined in the document.
