How can we help you today?Answer: Chip-on-Board or "COB" refers to the mounting of a bare LED chip in direct contact with a substrate, to produce LED arrays.
Differences between SMD LED and COB LED consists of:

| has LED PCB | does NOT have LED PCB (smaller chip) |
| has gold wires | does NOT have gold wires (less blockage of light) |
| cutting of encapsulate for each LED | cutting of encapsulate for whole section of LEDs |
With these differences, COB has the benefits of:

- high luminous efficiency

COB Technology is currently only offered for the 4K, LDP series.
