Proper tools are essential for precise alignment and preventing electronic damage. The list includes measurement instruments, power tools, and mandatory ESD protection.


Steps: Prepare tools according to the following categories:

  1. Measurement & Alignment

    • Self-leveling laser level.

    • Stud sensor/finder (multi-depth/material).

    • 4-vial torpedo levels (12” and 2’ lengths).

  2. Power Tools & Accessories

    • 3/8” hammer drill/driver and 1/4” impact driver.

    • Bit Sets: Pilot point drill bits for metal, steel step drill bits.

    • Driver & Hex Sets: Metric ball-end hex key set, Impact-ready bit set (Phillips/slotted #2 & #3), Nut driver set (1/4” to 1/2”).

  3. Protection & Cleanliness (Mandatory)

    • Anti-static gloves: Required to prevent LED module damage.

    • Shop vacuum, Moving blankets, and Pop-up work tables.

  4. Mounting Hardware (Based on wall substrate)

    • Toggler drywall anchors (3/16”), Tapcon concrete anchors, Steel lag screws.

  5. Logistics

    • (2) 8’ Ladders and Convertible hand truck/dolly.

Pro Tip: LED modules are extremely fragile. Ensure all personnel wear anti-static gloves and avoid direct contact with the LEDs during the entire process.
