Replace the batteries and ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the projector's IR receiver.

  1. Replace Batteries: Insert a fresh set of batteries. Low power can cause intermittent operation even if the remote’s indicator light turns on.

  2. Clear Obstructions: Ensure the [IR Receiver] on the projector is not blocked by any objects.

  3. Range and Angle Check: Operate within 7 meters (23 feet) and at an angle within 30 degrees of the receiver.

  4. Eliminate Interference: Turn off nearby bright lights (e.g., fluorescent or direct sunlight) or other electronic devices that might disrupt the IR signal.

  5. Phone Camera Test (Pro Tip): Point the remote at your smartphone's camera lens and press any button. If you see a faint purple light on the phone screen, the remote is sending a signal, and the issue may be with the projector's receiver.

Notes:

  • Caution: Do not mix old and new batteries or different brands, as this may lead to leakage and damage.

  • Note: If the issue persists, please contact the ViewSonic Service Center for further assistance.
