Applies to: ViewSonic Manager Apps page
Go to the Apps page and use the upload option to add your own APK file to Manager's app repository. Only the APK file format is supported, and each file can be up to 500 MB. Once the upload finishes, the app appears in the Uploaded Apps tab and can be deployed to devices.
Before you begin
You need a Manager admin account with permission to upload apps, and your app packaged as an APK file. Manager only accepts the APK format for custom app uploads.
Upload a custom APK
To upload a custom app to Manager:
Click Apps on the left side panel.
Click the upload option to open the upload popup.
Drag and drop the APK file into the popup, or click Browse files and select it from your file browser.
Click Confirm to start the upload.
Wait for the upload to complete.
Once the upload finishes, the app appears in the Uploaded Apps tab, where it becomes available to install on devices the same way as other apps in Manager.
Additional notes
Some additional points that may be useful:
Only the APK file format is accepted for custom app uploads.
The maximum file size allowed for upload is 500 MB.
Uploaded apps are managed the same way as other apps in Manager — Manager can only uninstall an app if it was installed through Manager in the first place.
Need more help
If an upload fails or an uploaded app does not appear in the Uploaded Apps tab, contact ViewSonic Support with the app name and the approximate file size.
