Applies to: myViewBoard, Google Workspace admins and end users
Issue
Users see an extra Google Drive permission checkbox — such as See, edit, create, and delete all of your Google Drive files — on the Google sign-in consent screen for myViewBoard.
What to try first
Work through these steps in order:
This checkbox appears because it's an optional, broad OAuth scope that Google displays so users can choose to grant more access than required.
Google Workspace admins can remove this checkbox organization-wide: in Google Admin Console, go to Security > Access and data control > API controls > Manage App Access, find myViewBoard by name or by its OAuth Client ID, and set it to Trusted.
Setting myViewBoard to Trusted removes the Drive checkbox from the consent screen and lets myViewBoard request only its approved scopes.
If your organization instead selects Limit to Specific Data and manually allows Drive access, the checkbox will still appear and users will need to decide whether to grant it — this is expected with that option.
After changing the setting, test with a normal (non-admin) account by signing in to myViewBoard with Google and confirming the consent screen matches what you configured.
Additional notes
If your organization uses Context-Aware Access (CAA) rules, marking myViewBoard as Trusted also shows an option to exempt it from CAA blocking. This only matters if CAA rules are already in place; otherwise it has no effect.
If the issue continues
Submit a support ticket if the consent screen still doesn't match your configured setting after testing with a normal account.
