Either can be the right choice — it depends on your device and how ready you are for the newer experience. Keep using myViewBoard 2.0 if your device isn't compatible with myViewBoard 3.0 or you're simply not ready to switch. Move to myViewBoard 3.0 if your device supports it and you want the modernized UI and newer features.

How to decide

Consider the following:

  • If your ViewSonic interactive display, Windows PC, Mac, or iPad doesn't meet myViewBoard 3.0's requirements, myViewBoard 2.0 remains the right fit — no action is needed.

  • If your device is compatible, myViewBoard 3.0 offers a cleaner UI, more intuitive icons, multi-tab support, and expanded accessibility and Participate Mode features.

  • Either way, your myViewBoard account and OLF lesson files carry over, so switching later is not a one-way decision that puts your content at risk.

Additional Notes

Some additional points that may be useful:

  • myViewBoard remains free either way — there's no cost difference between versions.

  • You don't need to relearn myViewBoard from scratch when moving to 3.0; all the core tools are still there, just visually refreshed.
