At ClassSwift, we are committed to making our tools accessible to everyone. We have introduced Directional Panning Controls to ensure that reviewing student work is easy for the teachers upon using Push-and-Respond feature, including those who rely on keyboard navigation or assistive technologies.

Why use this feature?

Previously, moving around a large student submission required a click-and-drag motion with a mouse. This update provides a "non-dragging" alternative that complies with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

How to use it

When you are on the Push-and-Respond review screen:

  • Look for the Directional Pad: A small control interface is now visible on the student work overlay.
  • Move the View: Click the arrows to slide the content. This allows you to inspect every corner of a student's response without needing to "drag" the image.
  • Keyboard Friendly: You can also use your keyboard’s arrow keys to achieve the same result once the window is in focus.

Zoom Support

These controls remain fully functional even when your browser is zoomed up to 300%, ensuring that users with low vision can navigate enlarged content without losing their place.
