Auto-shutdown is typically triggered by overheating protection. Ensure proper ventilation, clean the dust filters, and enable "High Altitude Mode" if necessary.
Check LED Indicators: If the Temp light is red or flashing after shutdown, the projector has overheated.
Improve Airflow:
Keep at least 50cm of clear space around intake and exhaust vents.
Do not place the projector in an enclosed cabinet or directly against a wall.
Avoid placing it on top of other heat-generating devices (e.g., AV receivers).
Clean Vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust from the vents to ensure maximum airflow.
Enable High Altitude Mode: If operating at altitudes above 1,500m (4,900ft), go to [Menu] > [System] > [High Altitude Mode] and turn it [On] to increase fan speed.
Verify Timer Settings: Check if the [Auto Power Off] or [Sleep Timer] features are active in the settings menu.
Warning: If the issue persists after these steps and is accompanied by unusual fan noise, please disconnect the power and contact ViewSonic Service Center.
