ClassLink integration with ClassSwift allows seamless synchronization of user data, making it easier to manage teacher list, access resources, and streamline login processes. By connecting ClassLink, schools can ensure that class rosters remain accurate and up to date. 

Instructions 

  1. Grant Access Permission for ViewSonic and ClassSwift in ClassLink Portal:
    1. Use your credentials to sign in to ClassLink Launchpad. 
    2. Click Menu in the top left corner, and select Roster Server. 
    3. Click Apps in the head banner, and select All Applications. 
    4. Search for ‘ViewSonic’ in the search bar, and add it to the Applications, then select Full Permissions.
    5. Click Return to Apps to add ClassSwift.   
    6. Search for ‘ClassSwift’ in the search bar, and add it to the Applications, then select Full Permissions. 

  2. Retrieve organization and role data from ClassLink into the ViewSonic Entity:   
    1. Use your credentials to sign in to ViewSonic Entity Portal. 
    2. Click Users on the left side. 
    3. Click More option, and select Sync users with ClassLink from the dropdown list. 
    4. Sign in ClassLink following the on-screen instructions, and find your organization’s Tenant ID in Management Console. 
    5. Return to ViewSonic Entity Portal, enter your Tenant ID at ClassLink settings, then click Sync.


    6. In the Organization section, select the ClassLink organizations and roles to retrieve into the ViewSonic Entity. Students will be imported automatically when teachers’ classes are imported, to prevent any duplicates, please don't select Student at this step. 

    7. Click Sync to continue. 

  3. Retrieve Teacher List from ViewSonic Entity into ClassSwift organization: 
    1. Use your credentials to sign in to ClassSwift Hub. 
    2. Click Settings on the left side.  
    3. Click Connect next to ClassLink icon. 


    4. Authorize ClassLink by clicking Sign-in with ClassLink in the Step 3, then follow the on-screen prompts to sign in ClassLink. 
    5. ClassLink activated successfully.

  4. Sync Teacher from ViewSonic Entity Portal to ClassSwift Hub: 
    1. In ClassSwift Hub, click Teacher List on the left side. 
    2. Click More option, then select Sync teacher from ViewSonic Entity Portal from the dropdown list. 
    3. Sync all users, or select the user you want to sync to ClassSwift as teacher, then click Sync. 



    4. Teacher list synced successfully. 

  5. Add ClassSwift (icon) to ClassLink Launchpad
    1. Go to ClassLink Management Console.


    2. Go to Applications, click Add & Assign Apps, and search 'ClassSwift'.


    3. Select the roles (Student/Teacher) that should see ClassSwift on their LaunchPad. 
    4. ClassSwift will now appear on the LaunchPad for for all users in the selected roles.
